Interior Minister contacts Liaquat Baloch to discuss progress on agreement

Islamabad/Lahore: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has had a telephone conversation with Liaquat Baloch, the Deputy Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan.

Deputy Amir Liaquat Baloch stated that Mohsin Naqvi and Atta Tarar will visit Mansoorah to update on the progress regarding the agreement between Jamaat-e-Islami and the government.

He mentioned that Jamaat-e-Islami wants full implementation of the agreement with the government.

Liaquat Baloch outlined their demands, including a review of IPP contracts, the removal of capacity charges on electricity bills, a reduction in electricity tariffs, and a decrease in taxes on government employees.

The Deputy Amir also said that Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has assured that the issues faced by students of the International Islamic University will be addressed.
