Bengaluru: A charge sheet has been issued against Indian Kannada film actor Darshan Thoogudeepa for the murder of 33-year-old Renuka Swamy, revealing shocking details.
According to Indian media, actor Darshan Thoogudeepa brutally murdered Renuka Swamy a few months ago.
The actor was arrested by Karnataka police in June, and now the police have released the charge sheet against him in the murder case.
The charge sheet details the brutal and inhumane violence inflicted on Renuka Swamy before the murder.
It states that Darshan and his accomplices inflicted such severe violence on Renuka Swamy’s chest that all his ribs and chest bones were broken before his death.
Further information from the charge sheet reveals that Renuka Swamy had a total of 39 wounds on his body, including a deep injury on his head.
Darshan and his associates also used electrical devices to administer electric shocks to the victim’s sensitive areas.
The police report also indicates that Renuka Swamy was subjected to barbaric violence before his murder; he was bound with ropes and beaten with wooden sticks and belts.
According to Indian media, Darshan had offered ₹1.5 million to three individuals for taking responsibility for Renuka Swamy’s murder.
However, during the investigation, police found clothes with blood stains belonging to Renuka Swamy, leading to further evidence against the actor.
Darshan has been named as a co-accused in the case, and his legal team is preparing to file a bail application.
However, police sources suggest that it is highly unlikely that Darshan’s bail application will be approved.
