Imran Khan claims two previous attempts on his life

Islamabad: PTI founder Imran Khan has claimed that there have been two previous attempts to assassinate him. Speaking informally with journalists at Adiala Jail during the 190 million-pound reference hearing, Khan stated that his staff had been changed for the fourth time in jail and the personnel responsible for checking his food had been replaced.

He also mentioned that there has been no communication with the establishment, and if there were any, it would be for Pakistan’s sake.

Khan criticized the current government, saying that cricket, the only sport watched on TV in Pakistan, has been ruined by a “recommendation” that he believes is backed by powerful figures.

He lamented that the national team did not make it to the top four in the World Cup or the top eight in the T20 tournament, highlighting a recent loss to Bangladesh as part of the problem.

He accused Mohsin Naqvi of being involved in the wheat scandal and owning property in Dubai worth five million dollars in his wife’s name.

Khan also criticized Naqvi for orchestrating the “biggest electoral fraud” and alleged mismanagement in cricket and security issues in Pakistan, including ongoing violence and crime.

Khan expressed frustration with the current government’s inability to implement reforms, cut spending, or increase revenue.

He emphasized that these tasks should be managed by a government with a proper mandate, which he believes this government lacks.

Regarding the criticism of the army, Khan stated that he does not have any communication with the establishment and that any discussion would be for the sake of the country and constitution.

He claimed that his cell was extremely hot, leading to excessive sweating, but he does not seek any relief.

Khan alleged that there were two previous attempts on his life, and that CCTV footage of these incidents was stolen by the ISI.

He also claimed that the ISI had taken control of the area where he was attacked. He reiterated that if anything were to happen to him, the Army Chief and DG ISI would be responsible.

When asked about allegations from Bushra Bibi, Khan mentioned that there have been issues with mice in her room, which she has been complaining about for three months.

Khan responded to a question about the Army Chief’s remarks on digital terrorism by criticizing the labeling of social media criticism as terrorism.

He pointed out that when internet services are shut down, the public still finds ways to communicate, suggesting that the authorities’ approach to handling criticism is counterproductive.
