The International Cricket Council (ICC) has approved a budget of $70 million for the Champions Trophy 2025 scheduled to be held in Pakistan.
The ICC has shared the schedule, including match schedules, warm-up matches, and other activities, with the teams’ boards.
The schedule has also been shared with broadcasters, and after consulting with all boards, the ICC will finalize the proposals.
Sources indicate that if approved, the opening ceremony may take place in Karachi, while the closing ceremony is expected to be held in Lahore.
The approved budget covers all expenses related to the sporting period, including the tournament itself.
The sporting period is set from February 12 to 18, with the tournament running from February 19 to March 9. A reserve day for the final is scheduled for March 10.
The sporting window includes time for warm-up matches, with each team allowed to play a maximum of two warm-up matches, subject to ICC consultation.
The ICC is consulting with all teams regarding warm-up matches, which will take place in the three host cities: Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi.
The sporting window will also include training sessions, warm-up matches, media activities, and promotional events, with all activities coordinated in consultation with the ICC and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
