Mumbai: The 16th season of the popular Indian TV show “Kaun Banega Crorepati,” hosted by Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, has started.
Amitabh Bachchan began hosting Season 16 of “Kaun Banega Crorepati” on August 12 of this year. Fans were thrilled to see the Bollywood icon return to host the show, especially after his emotional message in the final episode of Season 15 led many to believe he might not host the next season.
Fans have often wondered how much Bachchan earns for hosting the show. A recent report from Indian media has provided some insights into his earnings.
According to the report, Amitabh Bachchan was paid approximately 2.5 million rupees per episode during the first season of the show in 2000. As the show’s popularity grew, his fees increased correspondingly.
By the fourth season, Bachchan’s fee had doubled to 5 million rupees per episode. By Season 6, his earnings had risen to 15 million rupees per episode, and by Season 8, it had exceeded 20 million rupees.
Reports indicate that during Season 9, Bachchan earned 26 million rupees per episode, which increased to 30 million rupees per episode in Season 10.
For Seasons 11 through 13, Bachchan’s fee was 35 million rupees per episode, and by Season 14, it had reached 40 million rupees per episode.
For the 16th season of “Kaun Banega Crorepati,” Bachchan is reportedly earning 50 million rupees per episode.
