High-ranking Al-Qaeda terrorist Amin-ul-Haq arrested in Punjab: claimed last meeting with Osama Bin Laden in 2001

Significant progress has been made in the interrogation of Amin-ul-Haq Mashriqi, a highly wanted Al-Qaeda terrorist arrested by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab.

According to sources, Amin-ul-Haq is an Afghan national. The copy of his identity card shows the year 2020, and separate investigations are ongoing regarding the issuance of his Pakistani identity card.

Sources revealed that during the interrogation, Amin-ul-Haq claimed to have last met Al-Qaeda’s former leader Osama bin Laden on November 15, 2001.

CTD Punjab arrested Amin-ul-Haq Mashriqi on Thursday. Regarding this, the DIG CTD stated that the terrorist was arrested in 2007 and had served a 4-year sentence.

The enemy country’s agency had heavily propagated against him. This terrorist was last seen in Afghanistan in August 2021 and had recently entered Pakistan. We are investigating what such a high-level terrorist was doing in Pakistan.

The CTD in-charge mentioned that this terrorist also possesses a Pakistani ID card, with addresses in Lahore and Haripur. We are investigating how this terrorist entered Pakistan and what ID he used to travel.
