Google is set to introduce a new AI-powered feature called “Ask Photo” soon.
Announced at Google’s annual developer conference in May, this feature is currently being tested in the Google Photos app.
Based on Google’s Gemini technology, the feature will allow users to search for their favorite content in the Photos app more efficiently.
While Google has not yet provided details about a full rollout, the feature is being tested with a limited number of users.
The generative AI feature will quickly gather details and identify objects in photos, and will also be able to answer user queries.
The feature will be hidden in the Google Photos search tab, with an “Ask” button added to the service.
Clicking the button will bring up a new interface with various questions.
In May, the company mentioned that this feature would make it much easier to find a specific photo among thousands, eliminating the need for time-consuming scrolling.
