Islamabad: The FIA Anti-Corruption Circle Islamabad Zone has released its performance report for the past 8 months.
According to the report, during this period, the FIA Anti-Corruption Circle Islamabad registered 104 cases and completed investigations into 270 inquiries.
Recoveries exceeding 160 million rupees were made across various cases.
The report further states that, in compliance with a Supreme Court order, 1,550 kanals of commercial and residential land from the Evacuee Trust Property Board were recovered.
The value of the recovered land is over 9.71 billion rupees, and recoveries exceeding 69.9 million rupees were made from unpaid electricity bills.
The report also details that 15 cases were filed against individuals involved in the sale of prohibited and unregistered medicines.
During raids, machinery and fake medicines worth millions were recovered.
Additionally, 18 cases were filed against fake nursing institutions and 10 cases against counterfeit technical and vocational training institutes.
Eighteen individuals involved in passport and ID card forgery were also arrested this year.
Moreover, the circle conducted multiple actions against those involved in corruption within government institutions based on alleged evidence.
