Fast bowler Hasan Ali has expressed concerns about India’s participation in the 2025 Champions Trophy.
In an interview with a local news channel, Hasan Ali supported the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) stance, stating that the tournament should be held regardless of India’s participation.
He emphasized that if Pakistan can travel to India despite security concerns, then the Indian team should also be able to come to Pakistan.
He noted that if the government and BCCI are excluded from the equation, Indian players themselves would like to play in Pakistan.
However, decisions and policies must be considered.Hasan Ali mentioned that the PCB Chairman has clearly stated that the Champions Trophy 2025 will be held in Pakistan.
He added that if India does not want to come, it is their choice, and cricket will not end without them. Other teams will still participate.
On the other hand, the Indian Cricket Board is refusing to send its team for the Champions Trophy, citing that the Pakistani government is not granting permission for the tour. They are proposing that the tournament be held in a hybrid model or at a neutral venue.
