Ethiopian aircraft lands in Karachi after failing to land at Indian airport

An Ethiopian cargo plane landed in Karachi after failing to land at Ahmedabad Airport in India.

According to sources, an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 cargo plane flying from Addis Ababa attempted to land at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad.

The aircraft approached the runway but was unable to land for unknown reasons.

Following instructions from Ahmedabad Airport’s Air Traffic Control (ATC), the pilot went around at an altitude of 1500 feet and redirected flight ET 3644 to Karachi.

After an hour and fifteen minutes, the plane landed at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.

The Ethiopian cargo plane subsequently departed from Karachi for Ahmedabad.
