Donald Trump criticizes project 2025 director resigns amid controversy

Following growing criticism from Donald Trump, Paul Daines, the director of the controversial Project 2025 by the Heritage Foundation, has resigned from his position.

In the wake of Daines’ resignation, Trump’s presidential campaign has declared Project 2025 dead.

Kevin Roberts, president of the Heritage Foundation, stated that the project has achieved its goals, though efforts to create content at the federal, state, and local levels will continue.

Project 2025 had become a political liability for the Republican Party. Democrats argued that under the guise of good governance and changes to the executive branch, the project could undermine democracy in the U.S.

Trump’s campaign claimed that the project, developed by the Heritage Foundation and other conservative groups, had no involvement from Trump’s campaign and should not be associated with his policies.

The project’s demise comes at a time when the Democratic Party has advanced Kamala Harris as their presidential candidate, making it increasingly difficult for Trump to win.

Harris’s campaign manager remarked that Project 2025 is indeed on the ballot because it was developed by Trump’s allies.

She added that keeping the 920-page document hidden from the American public should raise further concerns about what Trump and his allies are trying to conceal.
