The hearing for the petition regarding the recovery of former Deputy Superintendent of Adiala Jail, Mohammad Akram, took place.
According to media, the case was heard by Justice Raza Qureshi of the Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench.
The Additional Attorney General stated that Deputy Superintendent of Jail Mohammad Akram is not in the custody of ISI or MI.
At this occasion, the Chief Police Officer (CPO) also submitted an affidavit claiming ignorance about the jail matter.
A written statement from the Ministry of Defense was also filed with the court.
High-ranking officials, including the Deputy Superintendent of Police and IB, submitted affidavits stating that Deputy Superintendent of Adiala Jail Mohammad Akram is not in the custody of any provincial or federal agency.
The court ordered the CPO to record the statement of the Superintendent of Adiala Jail and directed to personally oversee the case.
The hearing was adjourned to August 27, with the court seeking arguments from the petitioner on whether the petition is still admissible now that an FIR has been lodged.
Representatives from all agencies, government lawyers, and the petitioner were present in the courtroom.
