Czech Cyclist appeals to court of arbitration for sport

A Czech cyclist has taken legal action after not being selected for the Olympics.

34-year-old Czech cyclist Jatka Sibilka has contacted the Court of Arbitration for Sport against the Czech Cycling Federation and the Olympic Committee.

The Czech Cycling Federation did not select Jatka Sibilka for the Paris Olympics, opting instead for Adela Halubava in cross-country cycling.

In her appeal, the Czech cyclist argues that the Czech Cycling Federation did not follow the established procedures for player selection and seeks to have the Court of Arbitration for Sport mandate a change in the decision by the cycling federation and the Olympic Association.

The Czech cyclist is requesting that the court ensure her selection for the Paris Olympics cycling event.
