Lahore: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested three terrorists during an operation in Punjab.
According to the CTD Punjab spokesperson, the operations were conducted based on intelligence reports, targeting various cities in Punjab.
A total of 78 intelligence-based operations were carried out, leading to the arrest of three terrorists.
The raids took place in Faisalabad, Jhelum, and Chakwal. In Faisalabad, a key commander of ISIS was apprehended, while the other two terrorists were also taken into custody.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Abdul Wahab, Saifullah, and Khurram Abbas.
The spokesperson added that the terrorists were found in possession of explosive materials, including three detonators, eight feet of safety fuse wire, two IEDs, ammunition, weapons, mobile phones, and cash.
Authorities stated that the terrorists intended to carry out attacks at various locations to create fear and panic among the public.
This week, 952 combing operations were conducted, resulting in the arrest of 506 suspected individuals, with 32,056 suspects interrogated during these operations.
