Cross-Examination completed in £190 million case

Rawalpindi: In the £190 million case, cross-examination of former federal ministers Pervez Khattak and Zubaida Jalal has been completed, and a statement from an additional witness has been recorded.

According to Express News, the hearing of the £190 million case was held at Adiala Jail by Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Ali Waraich.

PTI founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were presented in court. NAB representatives Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi and Amjad Pervaiz appeared, while Chaudhry Zaheer Abbas represented PTI founder Imran Khan and Advocate Salman Safdar represented Bushra Bibi.

Former Federal Minister Pervez Khattak appeared before the court to cross-examine his statement and re-read his statement.

He pointed out that his statement indicated that he and other cabinet members insisted on discussing the additional agenda, but then-Prime Minister Imran Khan urged that the matter be approved immediately.

The court advised to submit a request for correction in the statement, which will be reviewed. Zubaida Jalal also appeared before the court, and the defense lawyers completed their cross-examination.

During the proceedings, NAB Deputy Director Umair’s statement was recorded. The court adjourned further proceedings until July 26.

It is noted that cross-examination of 33 witnesses in the £190 million case has been completed, with the statement of an additional witness recorded. The prosecution has a total of 49 witnesses.
