BTS sets historic record with 40 billion Spotify streams

Seoul: The world-renowned Korean band BTS has set a record with 40 billion streams on Spotify.

According to media sources, the famous all-boy group consisting of Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, J-Hope, RM, Suga, and V has achieved this milestone as the first group and Asian band in history.

Since stepping into K-pop with ‘No More Dreams’ in 2013, this South Korean boy band has been consistently breaking records.

All members, except the 31-year-old Jin, are currently engaged in their military duties. Jin, the eldest member, was discharged from service on June 12 after completing his term.

Despite being in the military, the group members have made several plans to keep their fans engaged during their absence.

Jungkook recently released ‘Never Let Go’ for BTS’s 11th anniversary, while V released a single, ‘FRI (END)S,’ in March.
