Dhaka: Bangladeshi celebrities have expressed joy over Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s resignation and the success of the student movement.
In a social media message, renowned artist Ashfaq Nipun wrote that Bangladesh is now free from Sheikh Hasina’s long authoritarian rule, calling it just the beginning and emphasizing the need for collective efforts for the country’s improvement.
Actress Saadia Aiman suggested that Sheikh Hasina should have awarded the national heroes who had been waiting before resigning.
Mustafa Sarwar Faruqi stated that he salutes the Bangladeshi youth and highlighted that coming together makes them stronger.
Bangladeshi showbiz personalities Mazbeen Chaudhry, Salman Mohammad Muqtadir, Tasnia Farin, Sohab Shaheen, and others have also expressed similar sentiments.
