Senior actor Babar Ali recently appeared on a private TV show where host and poet Wasi Shah asked him about the most sorrowful or painful moment of his life.
In response, Babar Ali shared that his accident at the Gadani Shipyard during the shooting of a film was the saddest moment of his life. He fell from a height of 110 feet, and his foot bones were severely fractured. After the accident, he was on bed rest for three months.
He added that after the accident, he was labeled as a “lame horse,” and people questioned his future in films, claiming that his career was over.
He faced demands for his fees to be returned and felt abandoned by everyone except for three people: his parents, his future spouse, and his in-laws.
Discussing the change in people’s attitudes, he mentioned that while he doesn’t mind those who called him a “lame horse,” he cannot forget the faces that once praised him but later changed.
Despite this severe challenge, he was given villain roles in films such as Syed Noor’s “Mehndi Walay Haath” and Khalil-ur-Rehman’s “Ghar Kab Aaoge,” which helped him achieve a career resurgence. Subsequently, his fee surpassed even that of a hero.
