Apple’s co-founder Steve jobs’ 41-year-old prediction comes true

From the Mac computer to the iPhone, Apple’s late co-founder Steve Jobs was considered a genius in the tech world.Steve Jobs played a role in revolutionizing the use of technology in everyday life.

Now, a video clip from 1983 has surfaced, revealing a prediction made by Steve Jobs that has now come true. This video is from the 1983 International Design Conference, where Steve Jobs (then 28 years old) talked about future advancements in the world of technology.

In fact, the technology he predicted at the time resembles today’s artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots.

He said that he enjoys reading books about ancient Greek philosophers, but he wishes he could ask questions about them.

He further stated that in the next 50 to 100 years, there would be a machine that could answer people’s questions on any subject.

He mentioned that this machine would respond to questions in a manner similar to how a living person would.

Steve Jobs said that we would be able to ask it what Socrates said during his lifetime and thus understand the philosopher’s teachings.

Now, 41 years later, it seems that Steve Jobs’ prediction has largely come true through generative AI tools like large language models.

Large language models refer to AI chatbots, which are algorithms trained on vast amounts of data to recognize various topics and words.

Thus, these AI algorithms become capable of answering written, visual, or audio questions.

Just like Steve Jobs’ prediction, a large language model can be uploaded with data on Socrates’ teachings so that it can answer users’ questions in the same way Socrates might have during his lifetime.

Technology companies are striving to make further advancements in the field of AI.They are working on developing artificial general intelligence (AGI).

AGI refers to technology that can perform tasks as well as, or even better than, humans. However, it is still uncertain when this will become possible.

Steve Jobs’ Other Predictions That Came True

This is not the first time a technological prediction by Steve Jobs about the future has come true.

In an interview in 1985, Steve Jobs said that soon people would be able to use computers not only in their offices but also in their homes, and they would become an essential part of most homes.

At that time, less than 10% of American homes had computers, but now 95% of homes have at least one computer.

In the same interview, Steve Jobs also predicted that in the future, computers would be able to connect online with each other, and people would buy computers to connect to a nationwide communication network.

Six years after this prediction, in 1991, the first website appeared, and now there are billions of websites operating worldwide.
