Anti-Terrorism Court orders transfer of PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi to Kot Lakhpat jail

The Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore has ordered the transfer of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi to Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi is undergoing a jail trial for the cases related to the events of May 9.

He had filed a request to appear via video link from Adiala Jail, while the police had requested his permanent transfer to Kot Lakhpat Jail.

The Anti-Terrorism Court approved the police’s request.Consequently, former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has been permanently transferred from Adiala Jail to Kot Lakhpat Jail.

According to jail sources, Shah Mahmood Qureshi is accused of involvement in vandalism, rioting, and arson during the events of May 9.
