Washington: A senior Amazon employee recently revealed that he has been earning a large salary for over a year without doing any actual work at the company.
In a viral confession on the social forum Blind, the anonymous employee disclosed that he joined Amazon after being let go by Google.
The employee stated that he holds the position of Senior Technical Program Manager at Amazon but has not done any real work.
Essentially, he receives a salary of $370,000, which translates into millions of rupees, for not working.
He explained that he joined Amazon 1.5 years ago after being dismissed by Google and eventually enrolled in a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) to get a free salary from Amazon.
The employee wrote on Blind that during his 1.5 years of employment, he has resolved only seven issues and created an automatic AI dashboard, and that’s it.
