All government employees grand alliance demands minimum wage of 50,000 for workers

Islamabad: The All Government Employees Grand Alliance Pakistan has demanded that the minimum wage for workers be set at 50,000.

According to details, a significant meeting of the All Government Employees Grand Alliance Pakistan was held in Islamabad on Tuesday, chaired by Chief Coordinator Rahman Ali Bajwa.

The meeting was attended by leaders from across the country, including those from AIGGA Federal organizations and associations.

During the meeting, the government was presented with a Charter of Demands for government employees.

The demands included the elimination of salary disparities, upgrading all government employees to a provincial level, returning leave encashment, and immediately halting pension reforms that are in the final approval stages.

The Charter of Demands also called for a 200% increase in house rent and conveyance allowances, the regularization of all ad-hoc, daily wage, contingent, and contract employees, and a 100% refund of taxes imposed in the recent budget.

Additionally, it included the restoration of Rule 17A and Rule 15B concerning employees’ children, setting the minimum wage for workers at 50,000, and saving national institutions from closure and privatization by implementing better reforms, thus protecting employees’ jobs.

Speaking at the meeting, Rahman Ali Bajwa stated that the government is planning the economic destruction of government employees, which will not be allowed to succeed.

He emphasized that government employees are united and well-equipped to protect their institutions and rights.
