The Lahore High Court has imposed a fine of 200,000 rupees on the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for filing a frivolous request related to Pervez Elahi.
A two-member bench of the Lahore High Court, headed by Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh, dismissed NAB’s request as unnecessary and imposed the fine.
The court stated that NAB’s request amounted to wasting judicial time.
NAB had challenged the accountability court’s decision to provide Pervez Elahi with the record of the inquiry into development projects, arguing that NAB rules did not permit the release of such records.
