Aima Baig announces ‘Me Too’ campaign in Pakistan

Aima Baig: a prominent Pakistani singer, has announced the launch of a ‘Me Too’ campaign across the country following her recent pilgrimage to Umrah.

In a story on her official Instagram account, Aima Baig expressed that performing Umrah has given her renewed strength and she feels there is a significant need for a ‘Me Too’ campaign to empower women in her country and protect them from deceitful individuals.

She mentioned that for some time, she has observed many predators who have destroyed the lives of girls, but she had remained silent for various reasons.

She expressed regret for her silence but is now declaring her intention to soon start the ‘Me Too’ movement and raise her voice for women.

Aima Baig emphasized that through this movement, she aims to send a message that women are not toys or subjects of ridicule but are fundamental to the existence of men in this world and deserve respect.

She appealed to women to raise their voices against injustice and abuse through the ‘Me Too’ movement, noting that many girls are suffering from mental and physical pain due to abuse.

She also stated that she has a list of individuals who have harmed women and that they will work with evidence and arguments to assist all women.
