Karachi: Pakistani model and TV host Mathira has stated that Pakistan is the only country where a heroine is required to be slim and fair.
Recently, during a podcast, Mathira remarked that in Pakistan, it is common for some prominent figures to comment on actors’ appearances on TV channels.
Mathira pointed out that these individuals display actors’ photos on TV shows and criticize them for not being thin enough, or for not having a slim waist or fair complexion.
She said that if an actor weighs over 100 kilograms, they should consider losing weight.
However, if an actor’s weight is normal, people have no right to advise them to achieve a zero-size figure.
Mathira also noted that men’s and women’s physiques differ, and women face more physical challenges than men.
Yet, men in Pakistan easily criticize women for being overweight and insist they should be slim.
In response to a host’s question, Mathira advised that people often make marriage the sole goal of their lives. If you’re not getting married, it’s not a big deal; you won’t die from it.
She further advised men to become financially stable before seeking a wife, as they will need to provide for her, rather than her supporting them.
