Trump’s racist comment against Kamala Harris, White House condemns

Chicago: In a recent interview regarding the presidential elections, Donald Trump made a racially discriminatory comment about Kamala Harris’s identity, which the White House has condemned as offensive.

The Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump raised a controversial question during an interview at the largest annual gathering of Black journalists in Chicago, asking if his Democratic rival Kamala Harris was ‘Black.’

In the interview at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) convention, Trump made racially charged remarks about Harris, saying that she was using her Black identity for political purposes.

He questioned how Kamala Harris suddenly became Black, wondering if she was Black or Indian.

Trump also noted that Harris’s father is from Jamaica and her mother is Indian.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre labeled Trump’s remarks as ‘hateful’ and ‘offensive.’
