Indian shooter Manu Bhaker’s coach, Jaspal Rana, has revealed that he hasn’t been paid his salary for the past three years, despite her winning a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics.
According to foreign media reports, in an interview following Manu Bhaker’s bronze medal win at the Paris Olympics, coach Jaspal Rana stated that upon returning to India, he would seek a job and start anew, as he hasn’t received his salary for three years.
Jaspal Rana said that after the Tokyo Olympics, he was made out to be the villain.
Manu Bhaker failed to win a medal due to a malfunction in her pistol, even though he wasn’t present in Tokyo. “Now everyone wants my interview,” he said, “and I am happily talking to everyone.”
He further mentioned that neither the National Rifle Association of India nor any other institution has paid him his salary for the past three years, but he is very happy that Manu Bhaker won a medal. He plans to return to India, find a job, and start afresh.
He added that Manu Bhaker wanted his assistance, which he provided, and now he needs a monthly salary that he hasn’t received from anyone.
