India wins its first medal; Australia leads medal table

The medal race at the Paris Olympics continues, with significant achievements in shooting and mountain biking. Today, Chinese and Korean athletes excelled in shooting, while France secured a gold in cross-country mountain biking.

China’s Zhi Yu won the gold medal in the men’s 10-meter air pistol shooting, marking China’s third gold in these events. Italy’s Federico Maldini won the silver, and Paolo Mona of Italy took the bronze

India won its first medal of the Paris Olympics in the form of a bronze, achieved by Manubhakar in the women’s 10-meter air pistol event. The gold and silver medals in this event went to Korean shooters.

France added a gold medal to its tally when the host country’s Pauline Ferrand-Prevot won in mountain biking. The silver went to the USA’s Hailey Batten, and Sweden’s Jenny Rissveds won the bronze.

Korea secured its third gold medal when the women’s archery team defeated China. This victory marked the Korean women’s team’s tenth consecutive Olympic gold medal. Mexico won the bronze medal match against the Netherlands.

Japan won another gold in judo, with Hifumi Abe defeating Brazil’s William Lima 10-0 in the men’s 66 kg final. The bronze medals in judo were won by Moldova’s Denis Vieru and Kazakhstan’s Gismat Kyrgyzbayev.

Japan also achieved a third gold medal in women’s skateboarding, with Koko Yoshizawa winning in the women’s street skateboarding event. The silver medal also went to Japan, with Liz Akama finishing in second place.

Australia won its fourth gold medal in canoeing, with Jess Fox claiming victory in the women’s C1 slalom. Poland took the silver, and Great Britain won the bronze.

On Sunday, Uzbekistan won its first gold medal of the Paris Olympics. Uzbekistan claimed gold in the women’s judo 52 kg category, with Judoka Diyora Keldibekova defeating Kosovo’s Distria Krasniqi.

France won its third gold medal of the Olympics in swimming, with Merchand Leon claiming gold in the men’s 400-meter individual medley. Japan took the silver, and the USA won the bronze.

The USA also secured its second gold medal in the women’s 100-meter butterfly event. The silver went to the USA, while China won the bronze.
