Israeli airstrike on school in Gaza kills over 30 Palestinians, injures more than 100

Gaza: Israeli forces have bombarded a school in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of over 30 Palestinians and injuries to more than 100. The school was sheltering displaced Palestinians.

According to a report by Reuters, Hamas’s government media stated that among those killed in the Israeli airstrike on the central town of Deir al-Balah were 15 children and 8 women.

The Gaza Ministry of Health reported that more than 100 Palestinians were injured in the attack. On the other hand, Israel claimed it targeted extremists using the compound.

The report noted that ambulances filled with injured individuals arrived at Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, and many wounded people arrived at the hospital on foot with blood-stained clothes.

Footage following the Israeli attack shows several people returning to the site and surveying their remaining belongings, with the school’s walls reduced to rubble and nearby cars destroyed.

A refugee woman at the Deir al-Balah school, Um Hassan Ali, stated that she had recently returned to Gaza from Egypt with her daughter for treatment, and now her daughter has been injured in the attack and transferred to the hospital.

According to AFP, Gaza’s Civil Defense reported that the number of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks that began this week in Khan Younis has reached 170.

Gaza Civil Defense spokesperson Muhammad Basil stated that hundreds of Palestinians have been injured and displaced in Israeli attacks in Khan Younis, with further operations resuming today.

He questioned where Gaza’s residents could go to save their lives.

It is worth noting that since the beginning of Israel’s brutal operations on October 7, 39,258 Palestinians have been killed and 90,589 injured.
