Washington: US Vice President and Democratic Presidential candidate Kamala Harris has submitted her nomination papers for the election.
According to foreign media, US Vice President Kamala Harris has formally submitted her signed nomination papers to participate in the presidential election.
Vice President Kamala Harris announced the submission of her papers on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
In her post, Harris shared a picture of herself signing the papers, writing, “I have officially signed the papers to run for President of the United States. I will work hard to earn every vote, and in November, our powerful campaign will succeed.”
Kamala Harris submitted her nomination papers just hours after former US President Barack Obama announced his support for her candidacy.
Former US President Obama and his wife have also announced their endorsement of Kamala Harris for the presidential race.
In a message on social media, Obama stated that he and his wife believe their friend Kamala Harris would be the best President for the United States.
The 59-year-old Kamala Harris began her campaign after President Joe Biden announced he would not run for re-election. President Joe Biden has also endorsed Kamala Harris as the presidential candidate.
If Kamala Harris wins the presidential election on November 5, she will not only become the first female President of the United States but also the first Indian American to hold the presidential office.
