Captain Nida Dar’s statement after defeat in Women’s Asia Cup Semi-Final

After the second semi-final of the Women’s Asia Cup, where Pakistan faced a narrow defeat, the team’s captain Nida Dar has issued a statement.

Yesterday, the host nation Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by 3 wickets in a thrilling match, securing a place in the tournament final.

In a media interaction after the match, Captain Nida Dar said, “We took the match to the last ball, but unfortunately, we couldn’t secure the win.The young players showed responsibility and played good cricket.”

She added, “We need to improve our fitness, batting, and fielding. The players displayed a fighting spirit in the semi-final.”

It is noteworthy that the Women’s Asia Cup final will be played between India and Sri Lanka tomorrow in Dambulla.
