Islamabad: Notices have been issued to the parties involved regarding the request for providing international-standard facilities to Imran Khan in jail.
The Islamabad High Court has addressed objections to the petition requesting international-standard facilities for former Prime Minister Imran Khan at Adiala Jail.
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq of the Islamabad High Court heard the petition filed by Advocate Azhar Siddique.
During the hearing, the petitioner argued that the facilities provided to the former Prime Minister violate jail rules, high court rules, and international laws.
The court was requested to link this petition with the central case regarding jail facilities.
The petitioner also stated that the request concerns not only the PTI founder but also extends to his wife.
The court issued notices to the Superintendent of Adiala Jail and all other parties involved and adjourned the hearing until August 1.
