Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar defends meeting women at night amidst recent robbery incident

Renowned Pakistani playwright Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar has once again found himself in the news, this time not for his work but due to a recent incident involving robbery and kidnapping.

In Lahore, following a press conference with the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Operations, Qamar faced questions from journalists about the robbery and his practice of meeting women late at night.

In response, Qamar stated that he meets women with great respect and affection, distinguishing between different types of women.

He expressed his frustration, declaring that he has fought against feminism for over three and a half years and will continue to do so for the rest of his life.

When asked about meeting a woman at 4 a.m., Qamar asserted that he would even go to meet someone at 3 a.m. if needed, emphasizing his right to go anywhere.

The recent incident involved Qamar being robbed and kidnapped by armed individuals after a woman, Amina, invited him to her home under the pretense of creating a drama.

The attackers not only assaulted him but also stole his belongings and withdrew money from his account before abandoning him at a desolate location.

The police have arrested four suspects, including the woman who lured him, and have recovered the vehicle used in the crime. Investigations are ongoing.

During the press conference with the DIG, Qamar clarified that he had not forcefully approached anyone and highlighted his long-term observation of the entertainment industry’s fashion and behavior.

He noted that he had been advised by his doctor not to expose himself to sunlight, but he maintained that meeting people, regardless of gender, is a personal choice.
