This year, July 21 and 22 were recorded as the two hottest days in history, according to data from the European Union monitoring agency.
The Copernicus Climate Change Service reported that the global average temperature on July 22 was 17.15°C, while on July 21 it was 17.09°C.
According to climate monitors, July 21 was the hottest day on record since 1940, but it was surpassed by July 22, making these two consecutive days the hottest ever recorded.
The last record for consecutive hottest days was set in early 2023, with another notable record in August 2016.
