Adidas issues second apology to Bella Hadid

New York: International brand Adidas has apologized to American model Bella Hadid for the second time after she threatened legal action over an advertising campaign inspired by the 1972 Munich Olympics, which was associated with the Munich Massacre.

In a statement, Adidas representatives said, “We made an unintentional mistake. We apologize to our partners Bella Hadid, AAP Nast, Jules Conde, and others for any negative impact this may have had on them, and we are reviewing this campaign.”

Bella Hadid sought legal counsel to address the lack of public accountability from Adidas for launching a campaign linked to the violent events of the 1972 Olympics.

The advertisement for the SL 72 trainers features Hadid holding a bouquet of flowers against a red background, with the caption, “Giving Bella Hadid her flowers in the SL 72.”

Following Adidas’s second apology, it is unclear if Bella Hadid will proceed with legal action against the brand. The model has not yet responded to this matter.
