PM Shehbaz Sharif advocates for easy access to education and healthcare for poor

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that the right to education and healthcare should be accessible to the poor without difficulty.

Speaking at the foundation-laying ceremony of the Jinnah Medical Complex in Islamabad, Sharif emphasized that treatment at Jinnah Hospital will be 100% free for the poor.

He noted that while the elite, including himself, can afford expensive treatment anywhere in the world, ordinary people struggle with healthcare costs despite their hard work and limited income.

He added that they have provided top-quality medical facilities in government hospitals across Punjab.

Sharif criticized the attempts to undermine the PKLI (Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute), describing it as a devastating event orchestrated by a so-called reformer.

He insisted that education and healthcare for the poor should be prioritized without political interference.

Sharif recalled that during the electricity crisis of 2009, he promised to end load shedding within six months, a promise that faced skepticism.

He highlighted that under Nawaz Sharif’s leadership from 2013-18, load shedding was eliminated, bringing light back to the country.

Sharif expressed hope that the new hospital will be completed within a year and that the country will experience peace, stability, and economic growth.
