Karachi: A large number of iPhones, laptops, and other items were seized from passengers arriving from Dubai.
Pakistan Customs conducted an operation at the arrivals terminal of Jinnah International Airport and seized a large number of iPhones, laptops, and other items from two passengers arriving from Dubai.
According to Deputy Collector Customs Faisal Khan, the passengers were trying to pass through the green channel with dutiable goods when officials, based on suspicion, transferred both passengers to the red channel for scanning.
Passengers Shahroze and Sohail Amin, arriving on Flydubai flight 329, had hidden 28 valuable iPhones in their luggage and on their bodies.
Additionally, they had 50 embroidered suits, 40 bottles of Prime Water, and 2 valuable laptops.
Customs officials have registered a case against both passengers, confiscated the seized items, and initiated further action.
