Lahore: Senior politician Faisal Vawda stated that the government will face damage if it plays both sides of the wicket.
He noted that there are several factions within PTI, with a forward bloc forming, and mentioned that affidavits from 37 PTI members have been submitted, with signatures from 6 or 7 being questionable.
In an interview with a private TV channel, he said the government has an excellent opportunity to demonstrate performance, and that writing a letter to the IMF would harm the country.
He added that PTI has multiple slogans and stated that no one can win against the state.Vawda claimed that terrorism was committed against the state on May 9.
He predicted that the political climate will be very heated in September and October, saying that no one in the country is adhering to the constitution and law.
He criticized PTI for returning to its old ways and noted that while the founder of PTI was very patient 12 years ago, he will not comment on the founder’s personal life.
He also mentioned that those who work honestly are kept with those who engage in corruption.
After the court’s decision, PTI’s difficulties have increased, as he sees a bulldozer approaching. Vawda said that with the kind of language used today, there’s no escaping from May 9.
He added that PTI is going to the Supreme Judicial Council, and that this issue is not about the constitution itself but its interpretation.
In his view, the Supreme Court’s decision will not be implemented, and the country is heading toward a constitutional crisis.
He emphasized that the power to create the constitution lies with the Parliament, while the judiciary can only interpret it.
