PTI Senior leader Hamid Khan warns of potential constitutional breakdown in Pakistan

In an interview, senior PTI leader Hamid Khan expressed concerns about a possible constitutional breakdown in the country.

Khan stated that the current government is leading the country toward a constitutional breakdown through unconstitutional actions.

He emphasized that if Supreme Court decisions are not implemented, the entire constitutional system could be destroyed, citing that the current Prime Minister had previously ignored Supreme Court rulings related to elections.

Khan criticized the appointment of ad hoc judges to the Supreme Court as a wrongful and malicious move, noting that ad hoc judges have been used in the past to make flawed decisions.

He also pointed out that some members of the Pakistan Bar Council are advancing the establishment’s agenda rather than representing lawyers’ interests.

Earlier, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif had also warned of a constitutional crisis and breakdown, suggesting that PTI had become a threat to Pakistan after losing power.

In the same program, Khawaja Asif claimed that political connections within the judiciary are evident, and he foresees a constitutional breakdown.
