New York: An American court has sentenced pop star Justin Timberlake for driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to U.S. media, Timberlake was stopped in the village of Sag Harbor, about 10 kilometers from New York.
The singer ignored traffic laws while driving, and his vehicle was swerving. A check confirmed that Timberlake was intoxicated.
In local court, the 43-year-old American pop star admitted to driving under the influence.
The judge sentenced him to community service and ordered him to issue a public statement.
In his statement, Timberlake acknowledged his mistake and urged everyone to learn from it and adhere to traffic laws.
