Lahore: The court has ruled on Yasser Ali’s bail application in the Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar honey trap case.
Details indicate that the Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore held hearings for the honey trap and kidnapping for ransom case involving the renowned Pakistani playwright Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar.
Judge Arshad Javed of the Anti-Terrorism Court heard the bail application of Yasser Ali, a co-accused with Amina Urooj.
The court rejected Yasser Ali’s bail application, following arguments from both parties.
The court had previously reserved its decision after the completion of arguments by the lawyers of both parties.
Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar’s lawyer, Zain Ali Qureshi, and Yasser Ali’s lawyers both completed their arguments on the bail application.
It is noted that Yasser Ali had submitted a bail application from jail. He, along with Amina Urooj and others, is accused of kidnapping Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar.
Amina Urooj, Yasser Ali’s co-accused Hassan Shah, and Rafique alias Fiki are currently on physical remand.
