Paralympic medalist Haider Ali to meet Prime Minister next week

Islamabad: Paralympic bronze medalist athlete Haider Ali will meet Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif next week.

Haider Ali, who is eagerly awaiting encouragement, has so far been overlooked by the Punjab government and the Punjab Sports Board.

After returning to the country, Haider Ali, who is staying in Islamabad, will arrive in his hometown, Gujranwala, today.

Haider Ali said that his meeting with Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, Rana Mashhood, went very well.

Rana Mashhood has also invited him to meet the Prime Minister next week. Haider Ali added that the way the government supported Arshad Nadeem has boosted the morale of all of us.

The more sponsorship and financial assistance medalist athletes receive, the more their confidence will grow.

He is hopeful that private institutions, along with the government, will also step forward and announce rewards for them.

Haider Ali, who hails from Gujranwala, has represented Pakistan in the Paralympics for the fifth time, making him the only athlete to have won a total of four medals.

Haider Ali stated that his goal this time was also to win the gold medal, and he made every effort to achieve that.

He acknowledged that the competition was tough this time around, but he is grateful to have won a bronze medal instead of returning empty-handed, as it has brought pride to the country.
