Karachi: Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori announced that a grand event will be held at the Governor House on 12th Rabi-ul-Awal, along with a lighting ceremony.

On this day, the doors of the Governor House will be open to the general public.

He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting at the Governor House regarding the arrangements for 12th Rabi-ul-Awal.

Governor Balochistan Sheikh Jafar Khan Mandokhail was also present at the meeting, along with prominent religious scholars, including Maulana Kokab Okarvi, Jameel Rathore, Shahid Ghauri, Shabbir Abu Talib, Bilal Saleem Qadri, Maulana Sarwat Ejaz Qadri, Mufti Muhammad Nazir Jan, Ahmed Raza, Maulana Yaqoob Attari, Maulana Adil Attari, Maulana Muhammad Akbar, Muhammad Naveed Abbasi, Abdul Qadir Noorani, and Allama Ashraf.

The meeting reviewed arrangements for processions, gatherings, and rallies on 12th Rabi-ul-Awal.

On this occasion, Governor Sindh directed the relevant authorities to ensure proper cleaning and security arrangements.

Special measures were also instructed for road repairs and sewage water drainage.

He mentioned that he considers himself fortunate because his official notification was also issued on 12th Rabi-ul-Awal.

The birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the most significant day for Muslims, marking the end of ignorance from the world.

Governor Sindh acknowledged the continuous support of religious scholars during challenging times and urged the nation to set aside differences and work towards the prosperity and development of the country.

Speaking to the media afterward, Governor Sindh mentioned that the scholars suggested a public holiday on the 11th and 12th of Rabi-ul-Awal.

He said he would discuss this with the Prime Minister and Chief Minister of Sindh.

Governor Sindh also stated that a grander stage than the one prepared for August 14 and September 6 celebrations would be set up for the 12th Rabi-ul-Awal to mark Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).

Kamran Tessori emphasized that as followers of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), it is an honor for them to live their lives in servitude to Him.

Responding to a question, Governor Sindh requested Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab to deploy his entire team for 24-hour road repairs in preparation for 12th Rabi-ul-Awal, and to inform him of any assistance needed, as he is willing to stand on the streets himself if required.
