Rawalpindi: A PIA flight landed at Islamabad Airport due to bad weather in Lahore, while another PIA flight from Dubai to Peshawar made an emergency landing at Dubai International Airport due to a technical fault.
According to aviation sources, PIA flight PK 284 experienced a technical issue shortly after departure. Following instructions from air traffic control, the aircraft returned and landed after 50 minutes.
In Lahore, due to adverse weather, PIA flight PK 726 landed at Islamabad Airport at 1:45 PM.
The plane remained at the airport for some time before receiving clearance to proceed to Lahore, departing at 5:45 PM.
Additionally, a private airline flight from Jeddah to Lahore made an emergency landing at Karachi Airport due to a medical emergency.
Airport sources reported that the pilot requested emergency landing clearance from Karachi air traffic control after a female passenger’s condition worsened.
Following the landing, doctors examined the passenger, who, along with her daughter, was offloaded and transferred to a hospital.
