Washington: The damaged Boeing Starliner, which was attached to the space station, has been brought back to Earth.
The Boeing Starliner, a space transport capsule, was returned to Earth without crew members shortly after midnight Eastern Time.
This return marks the end of a challenging test flight for the International Space Station, which had transported two individuals to the station.
Boch Whelmer and Sunny Williams had been stranded at the space station for several months due to a thruster failure on the Boeing Starliner, leading NASA to consider it unsafe to bring the capsule back with a pilot.
NASA has stated that Whelmer and Williams will remain at the International Space Station until February 2025.
After that, they will be brought back to Earth aboard a SpaceX Dragon capsule.
