Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that there is no operation underway in Balochistan.
He emphasized that those who accept Pakistan will be honored, while those who do not recognize the state are considered terrorists, and we will address them accordingly.
Speaking during a Senate debate on terrorism in Balochistan, he mentioned that the Apex Committee reviews the National Action Plan, and that Parliament is supreme and will remain so.
He assured that there is no current operation in Balochistan, and reiterated that those who accept Pakistan will be respected, while those who do not recognize the state will be dealt with as terrorists.
He added that the Prime Minister has allocated 8 billion rupees for the CTD in Balochistan, and 30 to 40 officers from the federal government will arrive there soon.
The incident on August 26 was described as extraordinary, indicating that it was orchestrated by two or three groups with the aim of disrupting the SCO conference.
He vowed that anyone who picks up a weapon will be dealt with.
The Interior Minister remarked that the August 26 incident was not normal and was planned specifically to disrupt the SCO conference.
He assured that despite some people’s discomfort with the SCO conference, Pakistan will host it.
