During the rain in the city, 300 K-Electric feeders tripped.
According to the spokesperson for K-Electric, electricity was temporarily cut off in affected areas as a precautionary safety measure.
As soon as safety clearance is obtained from field staff in some of the affected areas, the process of restoring power supply has begun.
The spokesperson further stated that during the rainfall in Karachi, out of K-Electric’s 2,100 feeders network, more than 1,800 feeders continued to supply electricity without interruption.
Citizens are urged to maintain a safe distance from electrical installations and are advised to stay indoors until the weather improves.
