Tokyo: Recently, 14 high school students in Japan were hospitalized due to stomach pain, nausea, and mouth burns.
Investigation revealed that all the students had eaten extremely spicy potato chips.
Around 12:40 PM, several first-year students at Rokugo Koka High School in Tokyo were admitted to the hospital as an emergency after complaining of nausea, stomach, and mouth pain.
The affected students, comprising thirteen girls and one boy, had consumed potato chips flavored with “ghost pepper,” which is listed in the Guinness World Records as the world’s spiciest chili pepper.
The hospitalized students received immediate treatment and were later discharged.
Reports indicate that some students collapsed at school due to the pain.This incident is being promoted as a warning to young students considering consuming such spicy products.
